Welcome to Cotton Tales pattern company. I'm Pamela Curo. I began designing patterns in 1994. I believe quilts are stories. Tales of our lives, our history, our dreams, told in fabric. Each quilt we make has a purpose, and a story behind it. The quilts we leave behind, will be our legacy.
You will find that my designs are not super easy. I enjoy the process of selecting just the right color palette, and the right textures to make my quilts. It is the process that I love. I savor the time, and truly enjoy every aspect. My designs are
inspired by my travels, and my life in northern Minnesota. I hope you enjoy!

Hello Everyone!
This is my very first effort putting together a book! The book is a collaboration between Cotton Tales, and the ten quilt shops here in Northern Minnesota that have an annual quilt shop hop, called The Heart of the Lakes Shop Hop. A sampler quilt was designed to incorporate blocks that were either submitted by the shop, or were left up to me to coordinate. The result is a Sampler Style Quilt, plus 10 additional quilt projects ranging from placemats to Lap Quilts. Each shop is featured in this book. It is a special keepsake for the Heart of the Lakes Quilt Shop, and the 10 participating shops.
With this new year, we find change in our shop hop. From the name, to the rules, and the shops who are participating. This just makes this book all the more special to the quilters who have followed our shop hop since its inception in 1999.
