![]() Our little Gnome has found love! This block is part of our "Gnome of the Month" series, also known as "It's a Gnome's World". We started this Block of the Month after our Wooly Blocks (Wooly Block Adventure) was so successful. Who knew? To see all of the blocks, go to the Home page. We are adding them as they are completed. I need a clone! The blocks kits are $19 each. Patterns are available in the shop, by mail, or as a downloadable pdf. Patterns are $5 each. We'd like to wish all of you a beautiful, day of love and joy. Perhaps a little chocolate? Quilting and Chocolate...what a brilliant combination! We'd like to feature some of the quilts that have been completed using our row, Where Eagles Fly. These are a few of the winning quilts for the 2016 event. There is still time. The last day to bring in a finished quilt is October 31, 2016.
We are very pleased to show you our row for the 2016 Row by Row Experience Shop Hop. The theme this year is "Home Sweet Home". For us, we have loved living here in the country, on the lake, where beautiful Bald Eagles soar through the skies. Many a night we've watched the sun set over Birch Lake with splendid colors of pink and purple, with subtle tones of orange, and coral. Our license plate for this summer is simply stated "Sew Pieceful". That is home to us. Remember the kits can be pre-ordered on line or at the shop for November shipping. Kits can be picked up in person at the store all summer long until September 6. The license plates will be posted for sale on the website as soon as our next order comes in. We are sold out at the shop for now, but taking orders for shipping. Stop in and see our row! Linda M, from the Winnipeg area of Canada sent us a photo of her winning Row by Row Quilt! There are several MN rows used in her quilt. We love what she did with the Heron! Bobbin the Robin makes an appearance in the shop! Jan P.'s Bobbin the Robin made a surprise visit to our quilt shop this past weekend! Bobbin has been all over the country already. Bobbin was born and raised in Oregon. She has been to California, Arizona, Nebraska, and Minnesota, and to more destinations to come! We were honored to make her acquaintance!
Check out Bobbin the Robin on her very own Facebook page. You can make your own version of this adorable bird using the pattern from Zebra patterns. There is currently a contest running from Zebra patterns that utilizes this pretty bird. Make sure you check it out! This little quilt, measuring 12" x 12" is gone! we have searched the entire store, and it has disappeared just a couple of hours ago. We are hopeful that the person who was looking at this little quilt just placed it in an odd place in the shop, and we haven't found it yet..but....we are just sick over this. The star in the center is hand dyed wool.
Please contact us if you know where this is, or if you have it, just return it, no questions asked. ![]() The Row by Row experience is already underway, and we are having a blast with this event! We've enjoyed meeting so many of out of state quilters, and quilters from Minnesota who are new to the whole Row by Row experience. To learn more about it, go to www.rowbyrowexperience.com, or check on the Facebook page for Minnesota Row by Row Experience. The theme this year was water, and it just seemed fitting to make a silhouette of a blue heron, as the sun sets on our lake. Hackensack is located on Birch Lake, and it's a wonderful place for a quiet family vacation. Relax! We had an error, with the first printing of the pattern, so if you would like a clearer set of instructions for cutting, (we re-labeled the layout) click here. At the Lake Corrections Starlight Waltz is making its way (and is being bound while on the road) to the AQS Quilt Show in Lancaster, Pennsylvania! Stop by our booth, we are number 2208. We are on the second floor. There are three floors of quilts and vendors. The show starts Wednesday, March 11, and will go until Saturday, March 14th.
